Going with the Lack of Flow

03/03/09 - Yoga & Spin

#1 - Yoga

Really excellent yoga class on this rainy afternoon. Our instructor seemed to sense the stiffness in my hips, and we spent most of the class contorting our bodies into the most wonderful, pretzel-like shapes that made my hips heave a sigh of relief. Namaste!

#2 - Spin (supposedly)

Had a little hang up with Spin class tonight. The Nu2Tri Spin Class was canceled. We had no room available, and had moved it to outside, but true to form, it started raining. Oh well! Next, I decided to try and hit up a Spin Class at 24 Hour Fitness. Arriving over 30 minutes early, we got there to find out that the class was ALREADY full!!! Seems some of my Tri friends had the same thing in mind that I did... tricky little triathletes aren't they!

By the time I walked outside it was pouring, lashing sideways, actually. So we made the ultimate decision to just do core work at home and squeeze in an extra bike ride somewhere during the week. What a bummer!!! I'm sure these things will happen, and normally I'd just run or bike outside, but I'm still a bit nervous about the pneumonia. I could really feel the gunk in my lungs during track, and I just don't want to risk getting bed or hospital ridden! I'm not usually one to play it safe, but I think in this case, an indoor activity was the best idea.
